TRIMM, believing its struggle to serve the New York Broadcast Market Area was worthy and the progress made, though perhaps not as outstanding as envisioned at its founding is a sold base for a twenty-first century ministry of mass media and faith interests to enrich American culture with meaningful spiritual values.
When deregulation set in and televangelism cast its peculiar bias on religious programming, TRIMM endured a severe setback that threatened our existence. A handful of dedicated religious leaders trusting the God of the faith they embraced and their own insights into what the Church is being called to do to elevate the religious dialogue in our country wrestled with the question of the future of TRIMM. The outlook was most bleak. By mid-2005 Trinity Church/Wall Street, our landlord from the inception of TRIMM, chose not to renew our lease. Financial support from members and others had dried up. Many churches were looking to other ministries and mass media were given lower priority. TRIMM's Board of Directors chose to keep TRIMM's incorporation and 501(c)3 status intact while redefining its task, restructuring the organization and finding new leadership to carry on the ministry into the incredible world of new technologies.
